Inside of C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\ right-click Diablo II.exe and create shortcut, which is automatically put onto the Desktop on Windows 8.0. On Windows 10 you'll want to cut and paste that shortcut file (its name will be Diablo II.exe - Shortcut) to the Desktop. I'd recommend renaming your shortcut to something like Diablo II CMod.
But I just can't find my savefiles. I've removed the MedianXL install folder, they weren't there. Save path according to registry is D:\Blizzard\Diablo II\Save\ which contains no folders at all. Tried checking documents, nothing in the D2 folder there, nothing in any savedgames folder. Tried scouring %appdata% and various for hidden folders.

Mar 23, 2023 · In Windows 10, go to File Explorer, click the View tab, and check the “Hidden items” option. This will show hidden files and folders. Search For the Save Folder. If the save folder is not in the default location, you can search for it by typing “SGTA” in the search bar in File Explorer. This should show all the saved files. Verify Game
